I haven't enjoyed a local movie like
One Night Only ever since Chito Roño's
Dekada 70 almost a decade ago. Mind you, it's nowhere near as insightful as Naruto nor does it offer the cast a range of emotions that any stray dog couldn't do, but one can find delight in Jose Javier Reyes' witty dialogues (filled with delectable parlorista humor as always), clever attempt for a supposedly "deeper" plot, and Alessandra de Rossi's delightful performance (as always).
And also probably because I can relate so much to it. *winks
